Locally rooted and trusted

Our Process
Grant Application Process
Shelter Equity partners with nonprofit, civic, and governmental organizations working on the front lines of housing, clean water, and sanitation - because fighting poverty takes all of us.
If a grant application is approved, staff from Shelter Equity will personally visit and vet each new partner. We work with local organizations who know their communities best, ensuring every dollar creates lasting change.
What Our Grants Support
Shelter Equity grants typically fund:
-
Construction of safe, sustainable homes
-
Installation of clean water taps and sanitation facilities
-
We prioritize projects co-designed with local communities, responsive to the environment, and built to last.
What Partnership Looks Like
We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all solutions.
We believe in listening first, then building together. When you receive a grant from Shelter Equity, you become part of a global movement rooted in love, equity, and innovation. We’ll walk with you through every phase, offering support, encouragement, and connection.
Together, we’re not just building structures. We’re building futures. We’re building health. We’re building opportunity.
