31 Years of Impact
For over 31 years, Shelter Equity has created lasting change through safe housing—impacting lives across communities, projects, and countries.

6 Countries
4 Continents
Serving four continents across the globe, we are working to reach those in need, no matter where they are located. Poverty doesn’t have borders.

5,300+ Projects
With more than 5,300 housing projects completed, we’ve learned what works. Through trusted partnerships on the ground, we ensure housing gets to those who need it most.

16,000+ Served
Over 16,000 people are now safely housed. The need is great, but every home we build together is an act of love that changes everything for a family.

Together, We Fight Poverty-
One Home at a Time.

A lack of safe housing is a global crisis affecting 1.6 Billion people in the world.

We provide safe, stable, and secure housing for those in need. By meeting this essential human need, we help lay the groundwork for long-term stability and opportunity.

We work to ensure individuals and families have access to safe and sanitary living conditions. Stable housing reduces exposure to health hazards, supports mental well-being, and creates an environment where people can thrive physically and emotionally.

We provide stable housing that allows children and families to remain rooted in their communities and schools. When families are not burdened by housing insecurity, children are more likely to attend school consistently and succeed academically.

We provide secure housing that empowers women and girls, particularly in vulnerable communities. Safe shelter creates a foundation for greater independence, protection from exploitation, and access to education and economic opportunities.

We ensure the homes we build include access to safe drinking water and proper sanitation facilities. These essential services promote health, dignity, and a higher quality of life for the communities we serve.

We help create local job opportunities through our housing projects and construction efforts. By investing in communities and infrastructure, we help stimulate economic activity and promote long-term financial stability for families and workers.

We prioritize housing solutions for marginalized and underserved populations. Through equitable access to safe and stable shelter, we help bridge social and economic gaps, empowering individuals regardless of their background or circumstances.

We build safe, resilient housing that strengthens neighborhoods and fosters inclusive growth. Our work helps create communities where everyone has the opportunity to live with dignity, stability, and connection.

We promote sustainable building practices and resilient housing solutions. We aim to reduce environmental impact while helping communities adapt to the effects of climate change through safe, durable, and energy-conscious construction.

At Shelter Equity, our work directly advances several UN Sustainable Development Goals. By building SAFE HOUSING paired with access to CLEAN WATER, SANITATION, and BICYCLE MOBILITY, we tackle the root causes of poverty, promote health and well-being, and create pathways to education and economic opportunity. We’re building more than homes—we’re building sustainable communities where people can thrive.
No One Should Go to Bed Without a Roof Over Their Head.
Across the globe, housing is in crisis. Families are struggling - making impossible choices between shelter and food, safety and stability, survival, and hope. Poverty is multiplying, and the need for lasting solutions isn’t just urgent - it’s life or death for many.
Shelter Equity was born to meet this moment.
What started as a local effort has grown into a global movement rooted in love, equity, and innovation. We partner with communities to secure land, build sustainable homes, and advocate for housing as a human right.
No matter the city, country, or continent, our vision remains the same: Housing for All. Everywhere.
You can help make it happen. Join the movement. Together, we can fight poverty - one home at a time.
